I need some input on dirtbikes?

Q: So ive been looking into a dirt bike but im just starting so im guna get a souly starter bike ... Im unfamiler with dirtbikes when it comes to size and quality but ive been looking at a bike called the ssr 125cc and it looks alright to start but idk if it is big enough idk whats a good size for a bike but it sais its like 5 feet long and a 14 inch front tire idk if this is too small or just right im 5 foot 9 inchs and weigh about 165 if this is a good size please do tell if this is and if not can you sugest a more apropiatly sized one only thing is im only willing to spend about 500 ya i know its not much for a dirt bike but some sell for that much , thanks in advance

A: Stay away from the $500 bikes, they are made in China and fall apart instantly. You will be better off taking $500 and burning it then buying a $500 Chinese dirtbike then having to fork out money to dispose of the bike 3 months later when the frame cracks in half and the foot pegs fall off.

If all you want to spend is $500 you will be better off buying a mountain bike. You may be able to find a decent used bike for around $1,000 to $1,500 if you look hard enough.

If you want a cheap bike to start out on look for a used Honda XR 200 or Yamaha RT 180, those bikes are easy to come by and are well built compared to any Chinese bikes.
